On How to Know What We Know.
Too many things going on in the world! Simultaneously!
How do we tell them apart? What’s important? What‘s a smokescreen?
Culture is hierarchical! And so is true education, which sustains true culture. It is the liberal education that provided us with the ability to arrange things on the spectrum. Maniacs of all sorts think they know, but do they?
In any case, here is what’s important in my book. And if you find it irrelevant, feel free to disregard it and pursue your own private mania. And not just private— there are private echo chambers for every obsession, obviously.
What was disturbing, if not earth shattering about the recent revelations concerning the massive collusion involved in Russia-gate, was that everyone was on it! Obama, Clintons, top echelons of Democrats, spy agencies, media. And not just liberal one. Assorted Republicans of McCain - Graham type. Soros. Most of the scoundrels in Trump’s first administration.
Yet, all these players refuse to come off clean. They deny, ignore, obfuscate, create red herrings. All sorts of red herrings: sex, Epstein, Joo- bating, which is only second to porn in its irresistible appeal.
In addition, the semi-stable Trump creates his own distractions and obfuscations— threats, tariffs, culture wars, deportations.
The truth is out there, with more and more documents implicating Hillary’s brigade, but the corrupt media ignores it, chasing another Trump folly or another Netanyahu outrage. Why not? That’s what the people want.
Why ignoring the Hillary-constructed Russia-gate is bad? Because it takes a weak helpless Russia for granted. They are diabolical enough to interfere in elections but incompetent enough to leave the traces. Traces that any idiot like Steele can find. They are diabolical enough to invade Ukraine but too weak and incompetent to succeed. In short— let’s pile on Russia and Russians, they can’t answer back. And when we run out of accusations and demonizations, we can always ask Ukrainians or Baltics or Poles to provide more!
With such outlook fully revealed in Russia-gate, can we move forward? Can we learn to take countries like India or China seriously? Can we take the concerns of our own American population seriously? Of course not! That remains the attitude of Democratic leadership and their sidekicks among Republicans. If the population can swallow the pure BS about Russia-gate, they can swallow anything— demented Biden in office, the barrage of lies and obfuscations, inflation, inequality, plunder and waste of natural resources, and all sort of other crimes in which politicians are engaged daily. We know how to distract them: just give them something to demonize: Russians or Chinese or joos or refugees or Trump and they will be busy for the rest of their lives.
And very few in Trump’s government are ready to keep an eye on the price, petty grifters as they all are!
How sad! And how dangerous!
